In this presentation, nutritionist, scientist and author, Deanna Minich, PhD, will discuss the role of colorful nutrition and dietary patterns for prevention and treatment of inflammation. Inflammation is one of the main drivers of chronic disease. Different phytonutrients can significantly impact the cell pathways underlying chronic disease that are related to inflammation. Nutritional benefits
from eating a rainbow of colorful healthy foods will be discussed in relation to color-coded phytonutrients through Dr. Minich’s colorful Seven Systems of Health, with outcomes of both improved health and risk reduction of chronic diseases. Join Dr. Minich in taking a deeper dive into the recent scientific developments surrounding inflammation, food and nutrients with anti-inflammatory properties, the relationship between eating styles and inflammation, and how eating the rainbow mitigates a phytonutrient gap. This presentation will help participants explore the clinical uses of anti-inflammatory foods, through the lens of color and variety, for health and clinical application with clients.
