We are delighted to open bookings for the NTOI AGM & Conference 2019!
Date: Friday 7th & Saturday 8th June 2019.
Time: Friday 7th – 3pm to 8pm. Exhibitors will be in place from 3pm. Lots of interesting stands to browse through. AGM will start at 4pm approx. Members & exhibitors dinner: 8pm. (Dinner booking link will be in place later)
Time: Saturday 8th June – Registration 8.30 am for 9 am start to 5.30 pm.

Nutrition as medicine; the hormetic effects of ubiquitous nutrients and their care and cure impact on chronic disease. Life started with the presence of several Energetic substances in the Geothermic pool. Vitamin B’s were present in rocks and gave ‘birth’ to the development of RNA in the first unicellular organisms. Much later a unique substance appeared with the name of N-erythroid derived-related factor 2, NRF2. This substance activates so called vita genes and facilitates the capacity to detoxify and neutralise free radicals. NRF2 appeared when oxygen levels became high and complex life started. Today NRF is still responsible for health and life span in all living organisms. nevertheless, modern life puts a high burden on its activity and capacity to maintain homeostasis. Nutrition and certain nutrients can re-activate NRF and protect against the deleterious effects of modern life.
Intermittent living; the universal evidence based protocol to treat chronic disease. It’s all about energy, could also be the title of this topic. Energy distribution between the different parts of the body is essential for health and life span. Disturbance of energy distribution is the main cause of most if not all chronic diseases. A disease can be explained in many ways but there will always be a lack of ATP in the affected tissue or organ. Energy distribution is regulated through seven different pathways. It are these pathways which are disturbed by modern life producing insulin resistance, low thyroid hormone syndrome and over activation of stress axes. The monotony of modern life should be considered the most important risk factor for disturbances of energy distribution. A life based on the use of short ancient challenges such as intermittent hypoxia, heat and fasting can recover normal function and serve as primary and secondary preventive intervention for most of chronic diseases.
